Our search engine utilizes Boolean logic. This allows you to narrow the focus of your search with AND, OR and NOT statements. Examples: New York Bridges = (New York AND Bridge) New York and Worldwide Bridges = (New York OR Bridge) New York without Bridges = (New York NOT Bridge) Proper names (such as San Francisco or George Washington) are treated as a single keyword. Limit the number of qualifiers for best results. The AND, OR and NOT qualifiers can be used for extended searches. However, it is not yet possible to use all three qualifiers in the same search. For example, to review images of celebrations in Spanish-speaking countries, this can be accomplished in two steps. First, enter "Latin" AND "America" AND "Celebration" NOT Brazil. Second, enter "Spain" AND "Celebration". We recommend conducting a series of searches with fewer qualifiers for the best results. |
